I looked up and tasted the clouds
a blanket of white
that covered the town

I looked back down
to my neighbours at home
with resent in their eyes
and a hopeless frown

(my hands are covered in black)

Excellent work. I've seen it before but, just curious how do you do that great splattered ink effect?

I've made quite a mess in my place because of this drawing. It was my first time, you see.

Did the basic drawing and put a piece of paper on top. Then I cut from this piece of paper the area I want to "splatter" in my drawing. Got my old toothbrush with some ink and sprinkled ink on top.

Of course now my keyboard, my clothes, my carpet... all splattered. I'm not very good with the planing ahead thing.

That's exactly the reason I stopped using rapidograph pens...I stained ink all over my desk. Lol. It's a pretty cool Ralph Steadman type of effect. I'll have to try it.
